Earth and Environmental Science, B.S.

The Earth and Environmental Science (EES) curriculum is flexible and can be tailored to meet the academic interests of the student interested in Earth history, Earth process, and human transformation of the planet.

Candidates for the B.S. degree must complete:

EES-110 Earth Systems or
EES-111 Earth and the Silver Screen or
EES-112 Environmental Science or
EES-113 Natural Hazards and Natural Disasters
EES-220 Mineralogy and Petrology I
EES-472 Research and Analysis
CHM-110 Foundations of Chemistry
CHM-115 Kinetics, Thermodynamics and the Environment
MTH-141 Integrated Precalculus/Calculus II
or
MTH-150 Analytic Geometry and Calculus I and
at least seven more courses in EES.

Additional Information:

Students anticipating graduate study and professional work in earth and environmental sciences should obtain the B.S. degree. The following are also recommended:
