Humanities Minor

To fulfill interdisciplinary minor requirements, students must successfully complete:

• HUM-201 History of Ideas in Context I or
• HUM-202 History of Ideas in Context II

•  

• Four additional courses beyond the introductory level in humanities disciplines selected in conjunction with the academic advisor and approved in advance by the minor oversight committee, and
• HUM-450 Humanities Capstone Symposium I
• HUM-451 Humanities Capstone Symposium II

Further considerations

No more than two courses used to meet minor requirements can be completed through the same academic department, while only one course may also contribute to a student major. Courses contributing to requirements of the minor cannot be completed using the pass/no pass grading option.
