All majors must enroll in at least one course in their major language during both their junior and senior years. All majors are also strongly encouraged to participate in a study away program before their senior year as well.
Students planning to teach French in secondary schools must complete a major in the field to obtain licensure. These students must also successfully complete:
Teaching licensure eligibility
The teaching internship required for licensure will be completed on a post-baccalaureate, graduate credit basis, with the student becoming eligible for a teaching license at the end of fall term following graduation. Consult with Education for specific requirements for admission to the licensure program and other pertinent information.
