The dual-degree engineering program normally consists of three years at Furman and two to three years at one of our affiliated schools: Auburn University, Clemson University, Georgia Institute of Technology, North Carolina State University, the University of South Carolina or the University of Georgia. The Furman degree is awarded with a major in either pre-engineering or physics. Degree requirements vary depending on the major pursued at Furman and the engineering school attended. The bachelor’s degree at Furman is awarded after successful completion of an appropriate portion of the engineering curriculum at the other school. The engineering degree is awarded upon completion of the entire program. A minimum grade point average of 2.60 is required to declare a major in the dual-degree program.
