Students planning to teach chemistry in secondary schools must complete a major in the field to obtain licensure.

Teaching licensure eligibility

The teaching internship required for licensure will be completed on a post-baccalaureate, graduate credit basis, with the student becoming eligible for a teaching license at the end of fall term following graduation. Consult with Education for specific requirements for admission to the licensure program and other pertinent information.
